the sword is our only hope.

tristan, the young hero who wields the ritual sword...
master oak, the wise, old turtloid who guides tristan...
fidgit, the feisty blue bearling with a terrible secret...

cardinal zyn is dipleased to hear of lord bite's failure,
but is awed to discover that the sacred eye of ra gem still exists...

tristan rescues princess naojha, while naojha's brother,
the pharaoh razahmhotep is shocked to discover the young hero's identity...

i wanted to give spidey a new look, a more animal totem-inspired suit.
the head is now vicious looking, having a pincer like design,
and his eyes extend slightly to the back, giving the impression
that he can see what's behind him, very much like how a real spider can.
the spider leg thingies on his back help him glide while swinging
in the air, also giving him an eerie silhouette.

"no more friendly neighborhood shit, it's time you feared the spider!"

the search for weng weng

so who is weng weng, you ask? he's the cult film icon of the Philippines, my homeland. standing at 2' 9", he is listed in the guinness world records as the shortest adult actor in a leading role. he is best known for his work as agent 00, a pint sized secret agent who can jump, fly through the air, slide on the floor and kick major ass. the ladies love him! he has a cool bike, and an even cooler jet pack.

as a tribute to the little guy, i created a comic book to tell his story, together with the help of a cool guy and friend, australian filmmaker, andrew leavold. the comic book will be among the rewards for the kickstarter campaign for andrew's weng weng documentary. please do check it out here:

what happened

has it been a year since the last post? :O

well, a lot of things happened. me and my wife got pregnant, and she gave birth to our beautiful blessing, our baby boy, SKY RENNER. he just turned 2 months a few days ago, thank you Lord! :)

i am now more inspired to create more artworks, comic pages, sketch covers, sketch cards and anything else in between. i'll be blogging from the ipad more now too. i'll be posting some of my older stuff as well as my marvel samples. ;)
